In Bungoma County, the power cut will affect Kimilili and Misikhu areas from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Homes, businesses, and institutions in Kimilili Market, Kamusinde, Misikhu Market, Kapsokwony, Maeni, Kibingei, and nearby villages are expected to be impacted.
Kenya Power advised customers to plan their activities accordingly and to treat all electrical lines as live during the outage.
“The listed areas will experience planned power interruptions tomorrow. The exercise is part of routine network maintenance,” the company said in its advisory.The electricity distributor carries out regular maintenance to replace worn-out lines, upgrade equipment, and enhance safety standards across the country.
Meanwhile, in a separate development, police in Kisumu East Sub-County recently arrested five suspects accused of vandalizing Kenya Power cables, which had caused repeated blackouts in the area.
