After a goalless first half draw, Chelsea opened the scoring in the 48th minute after Recce James swinged the ball from a promising position to find Trevor Chalobah who made no mistake and dinked the ball into the back of the net to make the score 1-0.
However, Chelsea celebrations did not last for long as Arsenal equalized the score in the 59th minute through a brilliant strike from Mikel Merino to make the score 1-1 and shared one point each.
After the match was played, Arsenal continued to top the EPL table with 30 points while Chelsea remained in the third place with 24 points.
