Speaking at the burial of the late Frank Ireri, Uhuru emotionally reflected on the fragility of life, revealing that he and the deceased had often found comfort in shared health struggles.
Although the former Head of State did not directly confirm whether he was battling cancer or any specific illness, his comments sparked public concern and sympathy.
In response, Makau Mutua took to social media on Saturday, November 1, to express his admiration for Uhuru’s openness.
“I was very moved by the candor with which former President Uhuru Kenyatta spoke about the fragility of the human body and his own health.
Let’s wish him full strength and a long life. It shall be well, Your Excellency,” he wrote.
Uhuru’s sentiments came after rumours over his ill-health started circulating early this year.
