The Democratic Action Party (DAP-K) has issued a stern warning to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) ahead of the Thursday 27, November 2025 by-elections.
In a statement on their official X handle, the Eugene Wamalwa-led party warned the electoral commission against losing the trust of the people.
They warned that their predecessors led by the late Wafula Chebukati lost the trust of the people because of their partisan conduct, which led to them leaving the office in great shame.
He thus challenged the Ethekon-led commission to leverage on the Thursday elections to gain the trust of the people_ now that it is their first election they are handling.
"All eyes on you @IEBCKenya. The public trust in the former commissioners was destroyed, time to redeem the image on Thursday or make yourselves untrustworthy further.
We have always seen your partisan approach to some of the issues in violence and clearance of suspect candidate," the statement read.
