Through his post on the X platform, Robert Alai alleged that Edwin Sifuna vividly portrayed that he is only exploiting and undermining the ODM party by failing to vigorously campaign for ODM's candidate thus securing the hotly contested ward seat to Gachagua's DCP party candidate.
According to Robert Alai, during the campaign period when political heavyweights were drumming up support for loyalists belonging to their political outfits, Edwin Sifuna who was uplifted to fame by ODM party was busy inciting community animosity and offered minimal financial support to ODM's Michael Ouma Majua, who went on to be badly defeated by DCP's David Wanyoike.
According to Robert Alai, it is only during the last days towards Thursday's by-elections, that Edwin Sifuna showed support for the ODM candidate, after "throwing a measly Ksh 100,000" to support his (Michael Ouma's) bid for the Kariobangi North Ward seat.
As a result, Robert Alai went on to opine that Edwin Sifuna needs to be thoroughly investigated concerning his loyalty to ODM, or else, his (Sifuna's) actions may end up weakening the party's legacy and presence in Nairobi.
