A man from Kericho County, Kenneth Kiprono, has completed his studies after years of hard work and sacrifice, proving that determination can overcome even the toughest challenges.

Kenneth grew up in the small village of Kiptuigo in Kabianga Ward, where poverty was a constant challenge.

From an early age, he faced discouragement from relatives who often told him that education was not meant for children from his family.

As a teenager, Kenneth’s father once offered him KSh 200,000 from a relative to drop out of school and start a business.

Although the offer seemed tempting, Kenneth refused and chose to continue his education.

He supported himself by plucking tea, working on farms, and doing odd jobs around his grandmother’s home. Every shilling he earned went toward school fees and basic needs.

“I knew that education was my only way to a better future. I could not give up,” Kenneth told local media.

Despite facing repeated discouragement from family members, Kenneth remained focused.

When it was time to join college, he applied to the Rift Valley Institute of Business Studies to pursue a Diploma in Supply Chain Management.

The path was not easy. Financial difficulties forced him to pause his studies several times, stretching what should have been a short program into a long journey that tested his patience and determination.

Over the years, Kenneth also got engaged and started a family, which strengthened his resolve to succeed.

He finally completed his diploma, excelling in his studies and proving that perseverance and hard work can overcome any obstacle.

Today, Kenneth is proud to graduate and is already planning his next steps. He intends to pursue CPA certification to become a fully qualified professional in Supply Chain Management.

Beyond securing a stable future for his family, Kenneth hopes to inspire young people in his community to believe in their dreams, regardless of their background.
