When Members of Parliament lined up in Parliament Buildings on Friday to view the body of former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, some of close allies lost and his death was a major blow to their political future.
Many of these politicians, especially from the Nyanza region, had entered Parliament through the political support and mentorship of the veteran politician.
At Parliament Buildings on Friday, there was a visible group of MPs who appeared politically orphaned following Raila’s death.
These were the legislators who had been his staunch defenders, especially during times when he was at odds with President William Ruto.
