ODM MP Babu Owino has been beaten by UDA MP Eric Wamumbi in lastest informal rankings of MPs driving education change across Kenya.

Wamumbi now tops the list after rolling out free day secondary education in Mathira. His Masomo Kwa Wote program removed all school fees in public day schools.

Ranked second is Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro who has kept the national debate alive on fully free basic education.

A budget expert, Nyoro argues Kenya can afford zero fees by reallocating funds. He has openly challenged partial subsidies that still burden parents.

Githunguri MP Gathoni wa Muchomba takes third place for her expansive school feeding program.
All public day primary and secondary schools in her constituency benefit. Around thirty thousand meals are served daily. The project is youth led and boosts attendance and performance.

Fourth on the list is Embakasi East MP Babu Owino. Known for his strong voice on education rights, Owino has pushed for fee reduction and student protection. His advocacy keeps education funding in the national spotlight despite falling behind newer grassroots models.

Fifth is Samburu West MP Naisula Lesuuda. She is widely praised for championing girls education in pastoral regions. Her work focuses on keeping girls in school through bursaries and community engagement.

Jomvu MP Badi Badi Twalib ranks sixth after expanding bursary support and classroom construction.

His focus has been easing pressure on poor families while improving learning spaces in coastal urban schools.

Seventh is Njoro MP Charity Kathambi whose leadership style emphasizes accountability. She is known for visible oversight and ensuring education funds reach intended learners without delays.

Saboti MP Caleb Amisi ranks eighth but remains influential. He amplified the rankings by highlighting MPs delivering results through NG CDF. Amisi is recognized for transparent bursary distribution and strong grassroots mobilization.

Ninth is Mwimbi West MP Charles Nguna. His development focus includes water access roads and school infrastructure which indirectly supports learning outcomes in rural areas.

The rankings show education has become a key measure of leadership. From free fees to school meals MPs are competing on impact. Local success stories are shaping national conversations and pushing Kenya closer to equal access for all learners.
