President William Ruto on Sunday attended a church service at AIC Pipeline in Embakasi, Nairobi County, where he made a notable financial contribution towards the church choir.
During the service, the President announced a donation of Ksh1 million to help the choir acquire new uniforms. The announcement was received with excitement from congregants, many of whom applauded the gesture.
The contribution attracted public attention because the proposed uniform colour was yellow, a colour widely associated with the United Democratic Alliance party.
Yellow is the official theme colour of the ruling party and has become closely linked with President Ruto’s political identity since the 2022 general election.
The President addressed the church while in a relaxed mood and appeared cheerful as he interacted with church leaders and members. He emphasized the importance of supporting faith institutions and community groups, noting that churches play a key role in shaping values and unity in society.
Clergy from AIC Pipeline welcomed the donation and thanked the President for taking time to worship with them. They noted that the choir plays an important role during services and church events, and the support would help improve their appearance and morale.
