Former Cabinet Secretary Raphael Tuju is once again at the center of a growing political and legal storm, following his recent release on a KSh 200,000 bail after his health reportedly deteriorated ahead of a scheduled court appearance.

The unexpected turn of events has sparked renewed debate across the whole country, drawing in prominent voices and raising questions about alliances, influence and survival in Kenya’s high-stakes politics.

Political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has weighed in with a bold and controversial statement directed at Tuju.

In a message that has quickly gained traction online, Ngunyi urged Tuju to reconsider his political stance and align himself with President William Ruto.

According to Ngunyi, such a move could potentially resolve the mounting challenges Tuju is facing.

“Dear Tuju: Ruto has asked you to become his REAL friend. And all your PROBLEMS will go away. Just do it. Call him. You have his NUMBER,” Ngunyi stated, suggesting that political loyalty could be a determining factor in Tuju’s current predicament.

Ngunyi went further to allege that the bank involved in Tuju’s financial woes has partial ownership linked to members of the Kikuyu community, a claim that adds a sensitive ethnic dimension to the unfolding saga.

He also dismissed any potential support from Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka, asserting that Kalonzo would not be in a position to assist Tuju.

As Tuju navigates legal battles and health concerns, his next move remains uncertain.
