Speaking during the reopening of St. Nicholas Chapel at All Saints' Cathedral, which was invaded by goons in June, Ole Sapit said the time for rhetoric was over and urged authorities to demonstrate genuine commitment to ending the violence.
He said public confidence in the government has declined because of allegations that state-linked actors have been involved in deploying violent groups in different parts of the country.
The Archbishop urged relevant agencies to respond swiftly, warning that failure to deal with the problem could have serious consequences for the nation.
He maintained that violence, whether state-sponsored or otherwise, cannot solve political disagreements and only pushes the country toward instability.
Condemning the attack on the church, Ole Sapit also appealed to young people being manipulated into acts of violence to reject such exploitation and instead use their vote to bring about change.
