President William Ruto today caused laughter in Busia after admitting difficulty in securing a second term.

Speaking today during a Church event in Busia, President Ruto jokingly revealed that it might be difficult for him to secure a second term in next year's general elections.

He was reacting in Amagoro, Teso North during the consecration and enthronement of the Dr. Vitalis Job Ekuru as the 4th Bishop of the ACK Diocese of Katakwa.

The Bishop during the event announced that he will be retiring in 2037 after serving for ten years.

This caught the attention of President Ruto who caused laughter at the event after telling the Bishop that he was lucky to have an opportunity to serve for a ten-year tenure unlike some of them who he said have to struggle to get another five-year tenure.

"Huyu Askofu vile nimesikia ako na bahati kubwa sana kwa sababu nimemsikiza kwa kirefu amesema ya kwamba atastaafu 2037 baada ya miaka kumi.

Uko na bahati Askofu, unajua kupata kumi bila break sio rahisi bwana. Sisi wengine tunangangana kungangana" President Ruto said causing laughter.

His statements come approximately one year to the next general elections. The President indirectly admitted that it won't be a walk in the park to secure a second term in next year's general elections.
