This has allowed some of key ODM allies to be incorporated into cabinet as cabinet secretaries.
However, this came at a detrimental effect towards President William Ruto, who according to political analysts and observers, has made him loose Mount Kenya region, that voted for him overwhelming in 2022 general elections.
Now, according to political pundits, should President Ruto and Raila try to navigate Mount Kenya ahead of 2027 elections, the chances to control it is very slim.
"President William Ruto and Raila Odinga should not try to climb the mountain, it will be slippery" said political analyst Prof. Peter Kagwanja
Prof. Peter Kagwanja, who is also Deputy Party Leader PLP, cautioned that if ODM party leader Raila Odinga tries to climb to the mountain, it will be slippery and President Ruto will even be more slippery this time around.
Despite supporting the Kenya Kwanza administration in the last elections, Prof Kagwanja, in addition, said that president William Ruto should be lied by his close associates to move to Mount Kenya, saying that, from using Hustler movement to win 2022 elections, things have changed into Gen Zs revolution.
"The Hustler revolution has changed to the Gen Z resolution: Prof. Peter Kagwanja. I have never minced my words, I supported this regime when it came in, they won the elections.
"However, 100 days later, the change revolution became the Gen Z resolutions. We are at the gates of hell, can we pull back." added Prof. Peter Kagwanja
He said that Kenyans are tired of poverty, a conclave dialogue proposed by Raila Odinga is bound to fail, noting that it will not bring prosperity.
