The long-serving Personal Assistant (PA) to His Excellency President William Ruto, Mr Farouk Teigut Kibet has finally stepped out of his shadows and disclosed to the public the elective position he will be contesting for during the fast approaching 2027 general elections.
While making his remarks, Farouk Kibet declared that during the 2027 general election, he will run for the Turbo parliamentary position, seeking to represent the people in the National Assembly.
While making his pronouncement, Farouk Kibet affirmed that having helped build leadership and steered many politicians to the top, his time to shine in elective positions has finally arrived and that starts in 2027
"I've helped build leadership from behind. It's time I step forward and serve the people directly" Farouk Kibet indicated while making his remarks.
Farouk Kibet's pronouncement will surely unsettle local political heavyweights in Uasin Gishu county who had already declared and shown interest in the Turbo parliamentary seat, and the move will also concentrate power among President William Ruto's inner circle.
The source further highlighted that Farouk Kibet's quest to represent Turbo constituency in the National Assembly should not be underestimated, as his chance of going to win the elective post will surely be higher than that of his competitors, because it comes with the weight of State House influence.
