Ruto also added a light moment during his remarks. He joked that if anything ever went wrong with his security, the people of Samburu would be the first ones questioned since their son is the one who manages his movements around the clock.
The President revealed that his ADC is the person who knows where he is at all times, where he travels, when he arrives, and when he rests. He said that because of that responsibility, he values the officer’s commitment.
Brigadier Lengusuranga took over as President Ruto’s ADC in October 2022. Before his current role, he served in the Kenya Army’s elite units.

The President also made several other military promotions earlier in the year. Major General David Kipkemboi Keter was elevated to Lieutenant General and appointed Commander of the Kenya Army, replacing Lt. Gen. David Kimaiyo Chemwaina Tarus.

M’arimi is now Commandant of the Kenya Military Academy, while Sitienei was appointed Deputy Vice Chancellor at the National Defence University – Kenya, under the Centre for Strategic and Security Studies.
