A publication by Tuko news on Saturday 8th November 2025, has disclosed to the public the crucial details that good Samaritans who took Maricus Owino to hospital for treatment failed to provide to the medical officers who were willing to treat him.

As indicated by the source, after teacher Maricus Owino was seriously hit by a motorcycle near Kisumu Boys High school Gate, he sustained serious head injuries that required urgent medical attention.

Since the motorcycle that had hit him had already vanished into thin air, Maricus Owino was rescued by good samaritans who took the initiative to take him to the Kisumu County Referral Hospital (KCRH). At that time Maricus Owino was bleeding profusely.

Upon getting to the hospital, the good samaritans were reportedly requested by the medical personnel to provide Maricus Owino's Identification number or phone number so that he could be immediately booked and get treated.

However, the samaritans failed to provide the details and upon being requested to give their ID numbers or phone details they strongly refused.

Moments later, the samaritans reached out to Maricus Owino's family members through a phone call and were told to wait for them at the hospital in bid to give details of what had actually transpired.

However, the good Samaritans reportedly left the hospital together with Maricus Owino at around 6:59 pm. Still he was in a terrible state.

When Maricus Owino's family members arrived at KCRH, they were surprised to be told that the samaritans had left moments ago with their kin to an unknown destination.

Upon being contacted, the samaritans told Maricus Owino's brother that they had placed him in a public service vehicle (Matatu) and had even instructed the conductor where to drop him so that he could head to his home.

What transpired thereafter is still a mystery as Maricus Owino's whereabouts went unknown only for his lifeless body to be found at a morgue in Kisumu county on Friday 7th November 2025.
