Betty Bayo, whose full name is Beatrice Wairimu Mbugua, is a celebrated Kenyan gospel singer known for her inspirational songs that touched many hearts.

Her famous song titled “Eleventh Hour” earned her a special place in the hearts of gospel lovers across the country. Through her music, she encouraged faith and hope even in difficult times.

Besides music, Betty Bayo was also a determined entrepreneur. After spending several years working as a brand ambassador in the real estate industry she decided to establish her own company called Dabo B Landing in 2022.

The company specialized in land and property sales. She once shared online that her success came through the grace of God, hard work, and resilience. In 2024, her company expanded and moved into new offices, which showed how much her business had grown.

Sadly, Betty Bayo passed away on November 10, 2025, while receiving treatment at Kenyatta National Hospital. She had been battling advanced-stage leukemia. Her death came as a shock to many fans, friends, and fellow gospel artists who took to social media to mourn her.

A touching moment was captured when her daughter, Sky, arrived at the hospital still dressed in her school uniform and was comforted by her father, Pastor Victor Kanyari. Many fans were moved by the heartbreaking scene.

Betty Bayo was admired for how she handled her personal life especially her separation from Pastor Kanyari. She chose peace and maturity over drama and focused on raising her children.

Fans later noticed a strange coincidence as she died in the eleventh month, a day before the eleventh day, just like the title of her song “Eleventh Hour.”

Betty Bayo will be remembered not only for her powerful music but also for her strong faith, business spirit, and positive influence.
