Arthur Phiri was last seen on Saturday, December 6, after he was allegedly carjacked, leaving his family devastated.
They issued a public appeal for help in finding him, but little did they realize that their attempts would be hampered by his untimely death.
"His automobile was eventually discovered abandoned in one of the city's most dangerous gang-controlled neighborhoods, where dread reigns and lives are taken on a regular basis.
However, Arthur himself has not been seen since. His disappearance is more than simply a headline; it is a wound in the heart of a family hoping for his return.
It serves as a reminder that in Cape Town, even regular men striving to feed their families can become victims of violence," Streetwise SA stated.
After days and nights of looking for their loved one, Arthur was discovered, but he was not alive, eliciting strong emotions.
"Our brother, who went missing after being hijacked, has now been located in the Salt River Mortuary in Cape Town.
He was an Uber driver who was slain while working. May his soul rest peacefully. His automobile was later discovered stripped near Nyanga, with blood on the passenger side door.
"We are concerned that he was hijacked or harmed," Crime Watch Zim stated. Arthur was working for Uber when he was allegedly carjacked and killed by unidentified assailants, leaving his family devastated.
Several images were posted depicting Arthur's automobile, which was discovered wrecked with several parts, including the tyres.
The radio was also missing, leaving a few exposed cables under the steering wheel. His distraught brother, Maker T Mudimu, resorted to social media to disclose the news and mourn him in a heartfelt post.
