Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has once again lifted the lid on what he claims is a carefully coordinated campaign of intimidation and political violence targeting him, sending fresh shockwaves through Kenya’s already charged political landscape.

During an interview in the Jeff Koinange Show, Babu Owino said his measured public demeanor should not be confused with fear or surrender.

His message was clear, choosing restraint and not rage, is the true test of leadership.

The MP revisited troubling incidents that he says reveal a disturbing pattern. He recalled the late Raila Odinga's burial in Kisumu, where he alleges that goons were mobilized to block and intimidate him during a major public gathering.

According to Babu Owino, similar scenes played out again with MCA Robert Alai.

He alleged that PS Raymond Omollo has repeatedly been at the center of these disruptions, claiming the same networks are activated whenever he appears at sensitive political events.

He also mentioned Robert Alai, stressing that while he has no personal dispute with him, the recurring links raise serious questions.

“This is no longer a personal battle,” Owino suggested, framing the situation as a wider struggle against entrenched power structures determined to silence dissenting voices.

In a striking turn of phrase, he argued that what he faces resembles “a wall against the state,” rather than a clash between individuals.

Asked whether he fears for his life, the Embakasi East MP offered a philosophical response. Life, he said, is temporary, and death is inevitable. What matters most is the legacy leaders leave behind.

For Babu Owino, that legacy is anchored in transforming lives, standing firm against intimidation, and refusing to be derailed by fear.
