A family in Nyangusu, Bobasi in Kisii is mourning the untimely death of a father who passed away after seeing his son's KCSE results.
According to reports, the deceased, identified as Joel, had travelled to the village carrying shopping and other gifts to celebrate his son who had performed well in the recently released Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).
The moment of celebration ended when Joel, who after celebrations went out to say hi to friends, was found dead near a bar in the village.
His family has called on the Directorate of Criminal Investigations to conduct an investigation to establish what happened prior to his death.
According to the police, Joel's body was found at the scene by residents who informed the police.
His body was taken to the mortuary pending autopsy and other procedures as police attempt to establish what caused his death.
They have called on residents who might have any information that may assist in the ongoing investigations to come forward.
