Just a day after the ruling United Democratic Alliance Party conducted its nationwide grassroots elections, all is not well in Kirinyaga County.
This comes after Ndia Member of Parliament George Kariuki came out guns blazing to accuse Kirinyaga County Governor Anne Mumbi Waiguru of being a mole in the party and rocking it from within.
As quoted by NTV, George Kariuki, without mincing words, has urged Anne Waiguru to quit the UDA Party in peace, adding that every sign suggests a person who is already exiting the party.
"Wewe Kama umepanga Safari ya kutoka Kwa serikali na kutoka kwa chama ya UDA, wewe piga Safari yako pekee yako na uwachane na watu wa Kirinyaga wakae kwa UDA," George Kariuki told Waiguru.
But in a quick rejoinder, Ann Waiguru also matched fire with fire, urging Kariuki to run for the Kirinyaga Governor seat if he feels that he is more popular than her. She stated that UDA cannot condone mediocrity.
"Kama yeye ni mwanaume, ajitokeze. Avae shati yetu ya UDA, asimame kiti ya Governor achaguliwe," Anne Waiguru told George Kariuki.
