According to some reliable sources on social media, Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has openly supported remarks made by Martha Karua on the 2027 presidential elections.

Kalonzo reportedly agreed with Karua’s position on blocking President William Ruto from securing a second term in office.

However, in a strong morning message shared on his social media account, President WilliamRuto’s close ally, Makau Mutua, came out guns blazing against Martha Karua.

Mutua sharply criticized Karua’s proposal to reduce the presidential term limit to only one term.

He argued that the idea was meaningless and only designed to block President Ruto from contesting again, rather than addressing real issues affecting Kenyans.

Makau Mutua went further to remind the country about events surrounding the 2007 general elections.

He accused Martha Karua of nearly pushing Kenya to the brink of collapse while fiercely defending the late former President Mwai Kibaki’s bid for a second term.

Mutua questioned why Karua never raised the issue of a one-term presidency during that tense period.

He stated that her current proposal lacked honesty and consistency, adding that leaders should stand by principles, not convenience.

Following Mutua’s remarks, social media erupted with reactions from Kenyans.

Some backed his statements, saying Karua was being hypocritical, while others defended her, arguing that leaders are allowed to change their views over time.
