Kileleshwa Member of County Assembly Robert Alai has backed Githunguri Member of Parliament Gathoni Wamuchomba's take on coffee prices in the country.
According to Wamuchomba, the last time coffee farmers experienced good prices was when she was in class 5.
She affirmed that they are not getting higher prices than before under President William Ruto's administration.
The MP alleged that coffee farmers have been getting Ksh 932 per Kg.
MCA Alai, who took to X (formerly Twitter) to speak, said Wamuchomba was saying the truth.
He also commended Orange Democratic Movement party for removing Nairobi County Senator Edwin Sifuna as the party's Secretary General.
Alai had called for the removal of Sifuna from the position, alleging that he had been undermining the party's leadership.
According to reports, Sifuna was removed as ODM Secretary General on February 11, 2026, and the announcement was made by the party's official social media platforms.
Homa Bay Town Member of Parliament Peter Kaluma, who also took to social media platforms to speak, said that this was long overdue.
He dismissed reports claiming that the party is going to be affected after Sifuna's exit, arguing that the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga had supporters from Western before Sifuna joined the party.
