Mudavadi, Wetang’ula’s Positions in Jeopardy Ahead of ODM-UDA Coalition Talks

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi and National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula are facing mounting political uncertainty, with their positions increasingly seen as vulnerable as coalition talks between UDA and ODM gather pace ahead of the 2027 General Election.

ODM is currently pushing hard for the Deputy President slot in any pre-election agreement with UDA.

The position is currently held by Professor Kithure Kindiki, who, together with his allies from the Mt Kenya region, has publicly stated that the position is not going anywhere.
