A viral WhatsApp screenshot claiming to show Prophet David Owuor chatting with God has set Kenyan social media abuzz.

The controversial image, which quickly spread across platforms, sparked both laughter and concern, but the Prophet’s Ministry of Repentance and Holiness is not having it.

In strongly worded statement, the church has dismissed the screenshot as a complete fabrication, calling it “false, baseless, and malicious.”

The church urged the public to ignore the image, emphasizing that the alleged conversation with God is entirely made up

“It has come to our attention that a fabricated image is circulating on social media, falsely alleging that Prophet Dr. Owuor engages in WhatsApp communication with GOD. This claim is entirely false,” the statement reads.

According to the church, Prophet Owuor has never suggested, displayed, or even hinted at such a supernatural exchange through WhatsApp.

However, the controversy deepened when the Prophet himself addressed the issue in a recent sermon.

During his message, he was seen holding up a phone with screenshots, claiming these were divine messages sent directly through the app.

The content of the messages allegedly included calls for repentance and a promise from God to "open the sky for rain."

Owuor even asserted that he is the only human who communicates with God via WhatsApp.

Despite this, the church remains firm in its stance that the viral screenshot is a malicious attempt to mislead and confuse the public.

They continue to call on Kenyans to stop sharing the fake image and refrain from spreading misinformation.

As the drama unfolds, many are left questioning the fine line between faith and digital-era controversies.

Could these so-called divine messages be part of a growing trend of spiritual communication, or is this just the latest online hoax?
