Alfred Keter, a former MP for Nandi Hills, has responded angrily to the recent heckling of the National Assembly.Kimani Ichung'wah, the majority leader, held a rally in Juja, Kiambu County, Kenya, where President William Ruto was present.

Some members of the audience apparently reacted negatively to Ichung'wah, and he was forced to briefly pause his address due to loud disruptions.

The Kikuyu MP made an effort to speak to the crowd in spite of the disturbance, encouraging people to keep their attention on harmony and progress.

Ichung'wah and other leaders had earlier experienced heckling during the President's tour of Nyandarua, thus this episode adds to a string of similar incidents.

In response to the most recent events, Keter claimed that they indicate a shift in the political landscape and that President Ruto might not be able to win a second term.

Since then, his comments have sparked online discussion, with both admirers and detractors presenting contrasting accounts of the event.

However, Ichung'wah used a proverb to minimize the situation, saying that "the noise of the frog doesn't stop the cow from drinking water," implying that the disturbance wouldn't have an impact on the government's goals.

Reactions to the heckling incident have been divided along political lines; some regard it as an indication of the public's growing discontent, while others consider it to be a typical occurrence in lively political events.

Such incidents continue to emphasize the erratic character of public gatherings and their function in reflecting popular opinion when political activity picks up.
