A mother’s pain is often silent, but for Lydia Njeri Mwangi from Nakuru County, it has been a loud, relentless cry that has echoed through hospitals, sleepless nights, and countless unanswered questions. 

For 13 years, she has watched her son, Bedan Mwangi, endure a life filled with pain, confusion, and repeated surgeries, all in the hope that one day he would finally be healed. 

What began as a complicated birth turned into a lifelong battle that has tested her strength, faith, and resilience.

When Bedan was born, doctors were immediately alarmed. His condition was unlike anything they had seen before. 

His face, head, and even his feet showed severe complications that could not be easily explained. As Lydia held her newborn baby, she knew something was terribly wrong, but she never imagined the journey that lay ahead. 

Over the years, Bedan has undergone 11 surgeries, each one bringing a small glimmer of hope, only for new complications to arise.
