Festus Arasa Omwamba, 33, is currently firmly under the radar of police and intelligence organisations for recruiting Kenyans into Russia's military.
According to the DailyNation, Omwamba has been the mastermind of the recruitment mainly targeting ex military personnel.
According to a National Intelligence Service (NIS) report given on February 18, his business, Global Face Human Resources Ltd., recruited at least 1,000 Kenyans to fight in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
According to reports, signing bonuses ranging from KSh 910,000 to KSh 1.2 million were offered to the recruits; these sums apparently drew in former police and KDF officials.
Omwamba also handled bank account openings, organised trip arrangements, and offered lodging, according to the report.
He was the strategist who frequently lured recruits through the United Arab Emirates or Turkey before they entered Russia.
