A young man from Arusha is fighting for his life after he was allegedly stabbed by his girlfriend’s former partner in a shocking incident that has left residents reeling.

The dramatic attack reportedly occurred inside the woman’s house after she had left earlier in the morning to take her children to school.

According to neighbours, the situation escalated quickly when the woman’s ex-husband, identified as Rama, stormed into the house and found the young man inside.

Witnesses said that by the time the woman returned home, the damage had already been done.

“When we rushed there after hearing screams, we found the man lying on the ground bleeding heavily,” one neighbour recounted. “He was in very bad condition, and we immediately called for help.”

Another resident described the scene as horrifying, claiming the victim had sustained deep stab wounds to the stomach.

“I saw him lying down with serious injuries. People were crying and shouting. We told everyone not to touch him carelessly and quickly organised transport to take him to hospital,” the neighbour added.

It was also reported that the injured man was unable to defend himself at the time of the attack. Some locals claimed he had no clothes on, which made it difficult for him to react or escape during the confrontation.

The incident has sparked intense debate online, with many social media users sharing mixed reactions. While some condemned the violent act and called for justice, others pointed to the complicated nature of relationships involving former partners and children.

Several netizens urged men and women to avoid love triangles that could escalate into dangerous confrontations. Others emphasised the importance of peaceful conflict resolution, warning that jealousy and unresolved disputes often end tragically.

Authorities in Tanzania are yet to release an official statement on the matter, but residents are calling for thorough investigations and legal action against the suspect.
