In his opinion poll that ranked President Ruto alongside former President Uhuru Kenyatta, former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, President Ruto was on the lead with a 35% victory, with Rigathi Gachagua and President Uhuru Kenyatta following at a distant second and third position respectively.
In his statement, through his official X page, while reacting to the poll, the popular analyst argued that the people of Mt. Kenya are no foolish and they know what they are doing.
According to the analyst, it appears like the Mt. Kenya region is lying to Kenyans and those alleged to be in the opposition, but may secretly be supporting the current President, William Ruto.
Professor Mutahi Ngunyi has argued that the purported support towards members of the opposition like Senator Sifuna, Dr. Fred Matiangi by the people of Mt. Kenya is only but a destruction until the people find their path.
"Dear Mt. Kenya, you are not stupid. You are just lying to Kenyans as this opinion poll shows. Continue lying to Sifuna, Matiangi and others until we find our own path." Stated the vocal political analyst Professor Mutahi Ngunyi.
