The political gathering is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 8, at Kaiti Market in Kaiti Constituency. The rally is expected to bring together several opposition leaders and supporters from across the region.
Kaiti Member of Parliament Joshua Kimilu announced the event through his social media pages on Thursday.
He confirmed that the rally will start at 2:00 pm and urged residents to attend and take part in the discussions around the Linda Mwananchi movement.
Several senior Wiper leaders are expected to attend the rally. Among them are Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr., Makueni Senator Dan Maanzo, and Kathiani MP Robert Mbui. Their presence highlights the growing cooperation between Wiper leaders and the Linda Mwananchi team.
The Linda Mwananchi movement has recently held rallies in several parts of the country. These gatherings have drawn large crowds and featured outspoken leaders such as Embakasi East MP Babu Owino alongside Sifuna.
The upcoming rally in Makueni also comes shortly after Mavoko MP Patrick Makau joined the group during a tour in Kakamega County. His participation signaled increasing support from leaders affiliated with the Wiper party and other opposition groups.
Political observers view the planned rally as part of a wider effort to strengthen ties within the opposition ahead of the next general election.
