Kileleshwa Ward MCA Robert Alai has stirred political debate by placing the onus of recent controversies squarely on Wamatangi.

Through his official X account, Alai argued that Wamatangi “knows who to blame” and asserted that he is “majorly to blame for his predicament.”

Alai dismissed any involvement by Deputy President William Ruto, emphasizing that Ruto “has nothing to do with his predicament.”

He further noted that authorities managing the Railways have resolved matters for all concerned parties except Wamatangi, implicitly questioning why the latter remains entangled in the issues.

The MCA’s post suggests frustration with what he sees as avoidance of accountability, noting, “I wonder why he is skirting around issues.”

Political analysts say Alai’s statements reflect a growing trend of leaders publicly holding peers responsible for their challenges, a move that can influence public perception ahead of key political events.

This latest commentary adds to a series of exchanges among Nairobi political figures, highlighting tensions within local leadership structures.

Observers suggest that the remarks could escalate scrutiny on Wamatangi, prompting calls for clarification and transparency regarding the unresolved matters.
