Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo has said that she is very worried about the projects in Kiambu County under Governor Kimani Wamatangi. She says people don’t know where the money is coming from.
Millie said that the governor should tell citizens clearly if the money is from the county, national government, or other sources. She said if leaders don’t show where money comes from, people cannot trust them.
Millie said that many governors talk a lot about projects like roads, schools, hospitals, and water, but most of the time people don’t see them on the ground. She said that making announcements does not mean real work is done.
Citizens want real things that help them in their life. Roads must be good for cars, water projects must give real water, schools must be open and have teachers, hospitals must help sick people properly. If projects are not done properly, she said, then they are just lies.
She said some leaders say they have done many projects, but when people go there, they find nothing is complete. Millie said leaders must show proof of work.
She said every project must have clear reports and proper audit. “People must see real change, not just hear news or press releases,” she said.
Millie said this is not only about politics. She said it is about people getting value for the money they pay as taxes. Development is not about talking or showing off. It is about real things that change life.
She said that all counties should follow the same rules. Citizens must know how money is used, who benefits, and if projects help people.
The MP said both national and county government must make sure projects are planned well, have enough money, and are finished. She said citizens should ask for regular updates and check progress. Millie said this will help people trust leaders.
She said three years is enough to show real results. Citizens in Kiambu and all over Kenya want leaders who work, not just talk. Every project must have money source, proper plan, and show real change.
